After listening to hundreds of public comments for over five hours, almost all decrying a tax hike, Jordan School Board voted to table the decision until its meeting next Tuesday.The tax hike means a $142.18 annual increase for a $100,000 home. Students are outraged over Salazar's sacking. She's been "observed" by the Jordan Senior High administration 15+ times in the past year. During one of the visits, an administrator criticized her for having students read The Autobiography of Malcom X, an LA Unified School District approved text. Her contract was subsequently not renewed.

A statement from the Interior Ministry said the shells fired by unidentified attackers in the downtown San'a district of Sawan wounded five soldiers and 13 school girls. Three of the girls were described as in serious condition and were being flown to Jordan for treatment.
